My husband had this bright idea to open up a modeling and beauty school. Which is a bit of a stretch, given how both of us work in office administration jobs, but who am I to kill an entrepreneurial inspiration?

Gary said because two Miss Arizonas, 2005 and 2008, come from right here in Sierra Vista, there is a lot of interest in this.  He said the dream of all little girls is to walk up there on that stage with their swimsuits and heels and show everyone how beautiful life can be.  This from the guy with little hair left and coke-bottle glasses.

Well, we rented a storefront and were doing all this research when the vice squad came knocking on the door, asking questions about the business.  They wanted to know if we were opening a porno shop, or maybe one of those Jon Benet Ramsey type schools.  It made me laugh out loud because at that point we didn’t have more than some ripped up carpeting, two chairs and a 12 month lease.
