A couple weeks ago I was driving around town in a bit of a hurry. I hate driving in that state of mind because that’s how accidents usually happen, when people are rushing and not paying complete attention to the road. Well, this was the case that day with me. I ended up blowing through a stop sign and clipping the back end of someone else’s car. They got out of the car real quick and were real ticked off. I was actually a little bit nervous, mostly because I didn’t pay my car insurance bill the last few months and they terminated my contract. I begged and pleaded with the man, and I got him to let me pay for the damage myself. He ended up being really nice about it and didn’t involve the police or insurance companies.

I was a little shocked at the cost of the repairs - it didn’t even look like I messed up his car too much, but I guess I did some internal damage. I didn’t know where I was going to get the money for this, but I needed to come up with it because I didn’t want to lose my license for driving with no insurance. I already had a few tickets last year and if I got in anymore trouble for a driving related crime, my license was toast.

We have two cars in the house, and three of us live here. It’s my Mom, my daughter, and myself. We have two cars, and we all have jobs and my daughter goes to school. One of our cars broke down, so you can imagine the amount of rushing around and stress that came with all of us having to share one vehicle.
